The Tennessee Inventors Association sends a monthly newsletter to members and visitors. The newsletters contain notes on the previous meeting and information on other items of interest. Keith is a native of East Tennessee with more than 30 years experience as a machinist and 15 years in CADD (Computer Aided Design and Drafting) . Keith is president of Third Dimension Models, Inc. His presentation focused on the relevance of CADD to today's world and it's integration into manufacturing. |

December 2014 Holiday get-togetherThe December 2014 meeting was our annual Christmas Brunch. We met at Perkins Pancake House, 9507 Kingston Pike (Windsor Square Shopping Center), for a late breakfast/early lunch. The meeting was a great opportunity for everyone to get to know each other better. |

November 2014 Sydney Burchell and ElectionsOur November 2014 speaker was Sydney Burchell, one of Bob Gant’s star students. Sydney developed a process that converts the waste material from manufacturing Moon Shine into a sustainable food source and supply of recycle water for fermentation. Bob has praised the progress Sydney made in her project, and Sydney had the opportunity to explain the process she developed. |

October 2014 TIA MeetingOur October 2014 speaker was supposed to be Laura Lyons, a Certified Financial Planner practitioner with over 18 years of experience in the financial services industry. Unfortunately, Laura could not make her presentation. We look forward to when she is able to make the meeting. We would like to hear what she has to say. In place of her presentation we held a round-table meeting discussing inventions, ideas, and trying to answer questions posed by members. Several members gave updates on the progress of their inventions. |

September 2014 John SimpsonOur September 2014 speaker was John Simpson, a retired scientist from Oak Ridge National Laboratory. John has 27 patents issued and another 25 pending!! Among other topics he told us about Superhydrophobics. |

August 2014 Jeremy FloydOur August 2014 speaker was Jeremy Floyd, who works at BPV Capitol management. Jeremy is a lawyer, inventor, and entrepreneur. In addition to teaching digital marketing at the MBA program at UTC, Jeremy serves as the Chief Marketing Officer at BPV Capital Management. Before his current role, Jeremy was president of a local marketing firm. Jeremy has contributed to several books on digital marketing and writes a blog at JeremyFloyd.com and can be found on Twitter at @jfloyd. |
